This chain of mountains, located on Eastern Andalusia, in the province of Granada, is very unknown even by local people, maybe for being located close to Sierra Nevada, an icon for hiking lovers in the area. However, this mountain range have natural and historic tresure between its woods and its rocks. The river Darro, that goes down the Alhambra before arriving to river Genil, rises in that wonderful place. Around the river, lots of fountains and a very rich flora unfolds before the nature lovers. This Natural Park has also a very historical relevance, hosting several trenches dated back to the Spanish civil war. After climbing several peaks in the area, we will be able to admire gorgeous views of the higher mountains in the Iberian Peninsula: Veleta and Mulhacen. To complete the adventure you will accommodate not in a five-star hotel. Our adventure includes accommodation in a local house, where you could dive into the local gastronomy and way of living.
